Our Team
Community Matrix Inc. was formed as a not for profit organisation to improve community outcomes. The following advisory board are instrumental for steering the direction of the organisation.
Felicity Hatzis BPharm MPS MBA - Executive Chair
Felicity has worked in community pharmacy for over 20 years. Healthy, strong and inclusive communities, and collective action for impact have been the motivating forces which have guided her actions both professionally and in a volunteer capacity.
To scale the impact of her work led her to pursue two unique streams. She enrolled in Murdoch University's Master of Business Administration program, completing it in 2017. Her thesis researched the opportunities for a Collective Impact approach to addressing obesity in Australia.
Concurrently, she engaged in local community level activities which included membership in the City of Belmont's Disability Access and Inclusion Focus Group, Aboriginal Engagement forum participation, Cultural Safety training for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and Health Literacy training. Felicity has initiated a number of community projects in Belmont. Her commitment to community development resulted in the City of Belmont reaching out to her to create the Rivervale Community Network, to engage local businesses, community organisations and residents in the council's Place Activation of the Wilson Park precinct in Rivervale.
In January 2018, she was employed on an 18-month contract at WA Primary Health Alliance, as the Australian National Chapter for the EAAD, to establish the local Alliance Against Depression (AAD) Coordination Centre for the purpose of supporting interested Western Australian communities in implementing their own local Alliances.
