#6degrees4 communities
Darren has had over twenty years in Blue Collar industries and experience working FIFO. He has seen first-hand the impact poor mental health has within workplaces and in families. His own lived experience of anxiety and depression has been a real learning curve. He realised that we do not always identify the early signs of poor mental health in ourselves, or if we do, we do not always choose to talk about how we are feeling. But these signs cannot be ignored and can only improve with the right treatment and support.
Darren is a certified Mindfulness and Meditation instructor and a qualified Mental Health First Aid trainer. He is the creator and founder of the Take Charge Wellbeing program. The Take Charge Wellbeing program provides workplaces and individuals with evidenced-based, practical tools to help people take charge of their own wellbeing. It aims to reduce the negative stigma that unfortunately still exists towards mental health conditions.
Darren is deeply passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of others and is excited to be a part of the #6degrees4communities initiative.
